We left off at Chelsea Piers last week, so continuing onward, we see a lot of views of WTC. Due to the light and the design of the building, it always looks tilted, but it isn’t. Very interesting optical effect. The sun had started to set as I got closer and closer, making some very interesting light effects. Also, the clouds were fantastic.
I’m going to guess these buildings have expensive apartments in them.
First time seeing this building from this side as opposed to the High Line side.
Reflected behind me.
Piers and parks and clouds.
Fun with clouds.
Getting closer to Battery Park City.
So many clouds.
The clouds really make this image.
You can climb inside this sculpture.
Weird bagel sculpture at the fountain at Christopher St.
Bagel with your fountain?
Interesting building in the middle of the park.
Fun with lines in architecture.
Getting closer to the end (looks completely tilted doesn’t it? Look at the spire to see it isn’t).
More fun with clouds and optics.
That is a weird sculpture.
We reach Battery Park City.
A pedestrian bridge that I was way too tired to climb to cross the street.
Sitting on a mural.
Next week: The lunar eclipse over NYC (sadly we got clouded over before the blood moon aspect of the eclipse).
