As usual, I went for a trip up to the Ft Tryon Park Medieval Festival. The weather had been bad earlier in the week and everyone had been keeping tabs to see if the festival would be postponed a week or not. In the end, it went on during the originally scheduled day, but I think the threat of more rain early on that weekend caused a bunch of booths not to show up. The back loop by the cloisters was very empty compared to past years and there were gaps in the main road where there are usually tons of shops. Hung out with friends, saw some of the sights, and took a lot of pics of peoples costumes. Here are some of the highlights.
Greeted at the main gate by this musician.
Music in the shade.
Teaching archery to kids.

Priest in the woods…?
Anyone remember playing with these in elementary school?
Anyone want a tail? …or remember The Tenth Kingdom miniseries?

Watching the kids fight around them.
So much music was going on through the park.
