During a short trip to the Adirondacks, I took some time to walk around and get some images of the mountains and town in fall. Most of the images were in and around the town of Athol, NY. Here are a bunch of my favorites from that day.
This was taken while the car was moving, but the sun hitting the river was very interesting.
Driving along the river.
The maple syrup farm and the field.
Very bright trees.
Magic hour begins in the backyard.
A wider view of the backyard.
Bulldozer and tree.
Barn in the shade.
The sun through the leaves.
The rock wall. These walls used to separate farm lands in the area.
I climbed down past the wall.
Look how the image changes if I rotate the camera 90 degrees.
Sun through the gazebo.
I like how the tree augments the house.
The sun goes behind a cloud.
A strange place for a bench as it is a busy road behind me with no sidewalk.
Looking back up the river.
Further up the wall with yellow leaves.
Leaves on the wall.
Starting to lose the light.
A popular fishing spot on the river.
Looking towards the mountain.
The sun lights the trees more than the mountain.
Putting some foreground into the image.
The clouds pop more in b&w.
Reflections of the colors.
A final close up of the river and mountain.
Next week: either some people studies or I’ll start showing off the portfolio.
