I worked on a tv show late into the night. By the time we wrapped, I had Times Square to myself at 4am. There were very few cars driving through and very few people around. Take a look at what a typically crowded area of town looks like without the crowds and creepy mascots.
Lights and NYPD.
Unobstructed view of the electric flag.
Completely empty from the south to the north.
Not really sure what the gates are supposed to be protecting against at this time of night.
Even at 4am, it’s still pretty bright due to the lights.
An empty sidewalk.
Ever see the TDF area empty?
Just red allowed.
A small group in the square.
A man rests in the quiet.
They found a few seats.
Which angle is better? Horizontal …
Barriers and cops.
42nd St: empty.
Next week: A beaver dam in Athol, NY.
